very happy arrived on time for my son on his 21st shared with students who said its was the best cake they have ever tasted. so yes i will recommend to everyone.

Couldn’t get the pictures I wanted put on a cake locally, and with time running out I ordered two cakes and crossed my fingers. Was really nervous that they might not make it on time but they turned up next day as promised, well packaged and looking great. They tasted even better than they looked. Can’t thank everyone enough for the service, would definitely recommend to everyone.

Suddenly realised I had forgotten to order birthday cake. Nobody could help so went on line and found you. Ordered 1 day delivered the next. Cake was well packed, beautifully presented and tasted fab!! Would recommend you to everyone.

We were very pleased with our daughter's Hello Kitty Birthday cake. It was delivered on time, looked lovely and was an easy shape to cut. I thought the cake had two halves so one half would be vanilla and one chocolate to give people the option of choosing chocolate or vanilla not the top half as vanilla and bottom half chocolate. Other than this the cake was moist and good to eat.

I ordered an Arsenal cake for my (now) 18 year old son at the last minute (completely forgot about the cake). I ordered on Monday night, and (as requested) it arrived first thing on Wednesday morning. When I looked at it, I was amazed - it looked (and was) absolutely brilliant!! I have to say, that I actually think my son thought it was his favourite present!! He was so chuffed with it, and EVERYBODY thought it tasted fantastic. Thank you so much for saving me!! I would like to thank you for the cake I ordered for my Grandads 90th Birthday he was over the moon with it and it was delicious the only thing I would like to mention is that when I ordered half choc half vanilla I actually expected it to be a half block of both not a layer of each so that when you cut the cake you got both but everyone said they really enjoyed it so I can't say that it spoiled it in anyway it might be an idea to just make it clearer. This has been my first experience of ordering a cake on line, I was certainly not disappointed. I loved the whole concept of choosing a cake online, type of sponge, colours, and downloading a photograph if I wished. The process was incredibly easy,,,,, i thought ar one point too easy. However when my cake arrived I was over the moon. I couldn't get my head around the fact that the posty had delivered a cake to my door,,,, it was perfect!!!!!. My darling husband was overjoyed and I was stress free. My only gripe was the price as I could have ordered a can locally a lot cheaper. However, the beauty of this concept is that you can order a gorgeous cake very last minute and therefore worth every penny;-)))). I would very much recommend:-)))

Forgot to sort our my sons birthday cake for his 18th and needed something in two days. Cakes next day.com were fantastic, really helpful over the phone and had dispached my cake within an hour of ordering it! The cake arriived the next morning securely packaged. I had uploaded a collage of photo's of my son over the past 18 years and they looked fantastic as good as the originals! in regards the cake i ordered. taste was good . but i was'nt too pleased with the ribbon as decoration as it wasnt the colour i choose, then the ribbon was stuck to the cake ,and while cutting the cake the ribbon destroyed the iceing , i would suggest for them to use food colouring instead of real ribbon..i will order again but please no real ribbons , thank you ..eldon

I received the cake this morning and just wanted to let you know it is amazing!!! I love the way you decorated it though i wasnt sure at the time if you got exactly what i meant, as obviously you were running out of time and reaching the deadline for the day! The taste is just perfect too, not too sweet, just how i like it, and more importantly how my sister likes it! The only setback i can think of is that i thought the size would be bigger as i talked about it being for around 10 people! But, that setback doesnt even count for me, the cake is amazinggg! Everyone that has seen it and tasted it loved it! I will definetly be ordering again and recommending to others :)

For anyone to describe the service and product as " good " is totally wrong. It is EXCELLENT It really made my Dad's day on his 90th birthday.

When I ordered i found the price expensive, however i soon found that the price was quite cheap ! The cake arrived less than 12 hours later. The protective box was 10/10, the design and presentation of the cake was 10/10, the taste of the cake was 10/10 and the cake was 101% better than any cake you can buy from Waitrose or M&S . A lovely lady called Suthey contacted me around 6.45pm in the evening to advise me about the upload problem. I was able to rectify the situation straight away in time for the delivery. I found cakes next day on Google after a frustrating conversation with a local cake maker who said 5 days was not long enough notice for a gluten free birthday cake for my daughter's 30th!

I was told by several people how good they thought the cake was and my sister-in-law remarked it was the best cake she's eaten in many years!

Thank you very much for "going the extra mile" with me on the phone on Friday to ensure I was able to take delivery on Saturday despite my initial difficulties on the website.

I wasn"t there when it was delivered but I was told the postman handed it over upside down despite the myriad of arrows and written handling instructions on the box! In spite of that, the cake was perfectly intact so your packaging methods obviously work!

Sorry to hear about the ribbons! It's hard to get the balance right, they have to be stuck on for the duration of transit to ensure the presentation of the cake but also be easily removed when the cake is cut into.
We are currently investigating the best way to hold the ribbons in place.
I'm glad the cake still tasted lovely! If the ribbons do fall off next time, if you have some icing sugar lying around they are easily stuck back on. Give us a call if you need any help with it!

This is the 2nd cake I've ordered & both have been great. The chocolate sponge is so light & moist & it's not at all sickly. The design was just what we wanted, my son's favourite footy team badge. Delivery was painless too & the cake is packed so well to avoid any damage. Worth every penny.

A truely brilliant level of service, rarely attained and worth commenting upon.
Our order arrived promptly by royal mail on the day requested unfortunately in transit the cake had developed a small crack in the icing on one side. We accepted this as one of those things, the next day a call came from cakesnextday asking if all was fine. This is rare in the modern world, I mentioned the crack and said not to worry. You however surpassed every expectation by having a brand new cake hand delivered the very next day which was absolutely perfect. We neither expected or asked for this, it was offered and actually insisted on by you.

The cake was very well packed, took it out of the box and it looked amazing , so nice that we didn't want to eat it, there was little glitter icing bit's added which looked really nice, and the photo (of my twins) came out very well on the cake. The only little mishap was the ribbon around the cake had slightly come away from the edging and corners, but this was easily fixed by using a littl hot water and a pastry brush to dap on and stick back around the cake. Just wanted to say that I was really impressed with the service - over the phone (namely Suthey) and delivery of the cake (on a Saturday). Also everyone commented on how delicious the cake was. So thank you very very much!! It was a lovely surprise for everyone at the party.

However the only issue I had (very minor) - there wasn't an email address on the cakes next day website and I found two sites for the same company which was a little confusing.

We ordered 2 large half and half cakes with photos. I found it difficult to work out how to do the design your own (need more guidance on web eg to double click into each box). Also my second cake details didn't get through auto email and needed resending separately. In the end, it was all sorted really well, the cakes arrived on time and looked great. Nice delivery guy. This is the best service ever. The cake is scrumptious and so fresh you'll not believe it's also very well presented. I would recommend anyone needing a celebration cake to order it here, you'll absolutely love it. One thing though, don't pay the extra for morning delivery, it doesn't work. It was not too sweet, the sponge was moist and the filling really generous. I may have been a bit mean with the portions though, because I got more slices out of it than expected! When you are in a different country from your eldest daughter for her birthdays, there is nothing as good as the smile on her face (seen on Facebook!!) when she is blowing out the candles on another fabulous cake from Cakes Next Day. We were so pleased last year, that we ordered another cake this year and went a size bigger because we were told it was so delicious. A huge thank you to the Cakes Next Day team. The Batman cake was a HUGE hit with my eldest son for his 5th birthday. The cake was delicious & ALL the children loved it & all the Mum's commented on how good it was. Also want to say what great customer service your company has. I managed to order the cake for the wrong date so rang your customer service number on Monday & your team was able to arrange to make the cake & get it delivered to me the very next day in time for my son's birthday party on the Tuesday afternoon. They even rang me on the Monday afternoon to confirm they would be delivering the cake tomorrow. AMAZING !! So pleased with everything & I will definitely be ordering your cakes again. One very happy & satisfied customer !!

The cake arrived in good condition though the ribbons had come loose. We had chosen Alice in Wonderland and the picture was lovely. We easily fed 27 children and their parents which was amazing. The sponge itself was delicious, very light and definitely moreish!! Would recommend your site without hesitation and will use again.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for the lovely cake that was delivered for my husband, Andy's, 50th Birthday. I was a bit worried, ordering from the internet, but I cannot praise you all high enough. You made it to my exact specifications and considering the picture I sent to you was a scanned photo which was practically 50 years old, it came up perfectly. I only ordered it on the Sunday, for delivery on the Tuesday to my place of work, ready for the celebrations on the Wednesday. It arrived at around 9.40 am and was perfectly packaged. My husband was thrilled with it and everybody who sampled it, commented on how lovely and fresh it was and one of the best cakes they have ever tasted!! I will not hesitate to use your services again and have recommended you to lots of people as well.

I really want to thank you for the excellent service & the amazingly delicious cake. I ordered for my son's 2nd birthday with his fave character Thomas the Tank Engine the day before his birthday. I scoured my area to find a bakery who can make the cake within 4 days but none of them accepted. The day before my son's birthday I was desperate and willing to order from the internet with little hope that the cake will taste good. Indi went extra mile as I ordered at 2:30pm and she still accepted my order to be delivered next day. And to my surprise the cake was really delicious and we had the most amazing birthday party for my son. Thank you & your company really made our day! I just ordered again for my birthday.

My 94 year old Grandmother received her personalised cake this morning. She was delighted with it and my Mum called to tell me how delicious it is. I'm just sorry that they're too far away for me to have a slice!

I have just recieved our cake for the Children's Centre 5th birthday party- it is amazing. I can tell that a lot of thought had been put into matching the ribbons to our logo colours, the extra touch of glitter is wonderful. Thank you so much the children are going to love it!

It was fantastic, delivered perfectly and the hotel had it waiting in his hotel room and he was so surprised. I didn't get to taste it as I'm in the US but they all said it was fantastic. He showed me a picture of it and it was beautiful.
